The dogfood test
Receipts, not mockups. On August 10 we caught Google putting a brand-new agency in the same breath as the nation’s biggest players — on our industry’s most competitive terms, across its AI answers and its rankings. 62 of them. Here’s one, where Google’s AI names only one agency at all: Andrew Ryan Marketing.
Don’t take our word for it — open it incognito and check.
Why we lead with our own results: the same system that made a brand-new agency the answer against national competition is the one we engineer for your local market.

Google’s AI answer is built for a location, not a logo.
It’s assembled live, for the market it’s answering from — this one from a Kingsport, TN profile. Being the source Google names isn’t a function of size; it’s a function of engineering your pages to be the answer. We proved that in the hardest category there is — one where the competition is other marketing agencies — and even they aren’t doing it. In your local market, it’s likely that no one is. That AI-answer real estate isn’t contested; it’s empty. Whoever engineers for it first, owns it.
What you’ll see live: Google rewords its answer on every run, so the exact wording moves — but it kept naming Andrew Ryan Marketing across the searches we captured on Aug 10. Open it incognito and see the current result. The naming and the #1 organic shown here are from that day’s capture — the actual screenshot shows them.
The receipts
62 screenshots, all captured incognito on Aug 10, 2026 — across the national terms our industry competes hardest for. Here are nine. On the PPC and SEO cluster, Google doesn’t just name us; it builds the definition of the answer from our page. Tap any one to enlarge.
Recurring competitors in these same answers: Blue Corona, Contractor Growth Network, AltaVista, EWR Digital, Footbridge Media, Loopex. We show up alongside them — and, on our home terms, ahead of them. These nine are a sample — see all 62 on request. Verify any of it live ↗
These were captured on a single day (Aug 10, 2026), from one location (a Kingsport, TN profile), incognito. This is a convenience set — the competitive terms we checked, where we were winning — not a random national audit. AI Overviews and rankings re-score constantly, and several of these pages were rebuilt the same week, so positions are days-old and can still move. Treat these as strong leading indicators of surfacing — not guaranteed, permanent national ranks. We’re showing you the real thing, warts and caveats included, because a proof you can puncture is the only kind worth putting in front of you.
The system behind it
None of this is luck, and none of it is a “post more blogs” trick. Google’s AI doesn’t just rank pages — it assembles an answer, then cites the pages it built that answer from. So we engineer pages to be the thing it reaches for: the clearest, most extractable source on the question your buyer is asking. We call that discipline Answer Architecture™ — and it’s the AI-layer sibling to the work we’ve always done in classic search.
What we can’t do is hand you the recipe — the exact data structures, the extraction engineering, the reconciliation method are the parts we don’t publish. What we can do is point the whole system at your market. We know it works, because we ran it on the hardest target we could find first: us.
Then we used it on someone else
There’s a fair question sitting under all of this: “Sure — you did it for your own agency, in your own industry. That’s not the same as doing it for me.” It’s a reasonable instinct — and it’s the right one. So here’s the proof, not the promise.
Same discipline you just saw — Answer Architecture™ — pointed at a different industry. Google’s AI reads signals, not industries: clarity, structure, authority, the sources that corroborate you — engineered the same way in every category.
The method travels. It doesn’t need you to be us — and it doesn’t need your industry to be ours. You bring the business. We bring the engine that gets it named.

The short version
How do you get named in Google’s AI Overview?
Google’s AI doesn’t just rank pages — it assembles an answer, then cites the pages it built that answer from. You get named by engineering your page to be the clearest, most extractable source on the exact question your buyer is asking, so the AI reaches for it first. We call that discipline Answer Architecture™.
What is Answer Architecture?
Answer Architecture™ is the discipline of engineering a page to be the source Google’s AI extracts, names, and reaches for — the half of “getting chosen” that now happens above the blue links, inside the AI answer itself. It’s the AI-layer sibling to classic on-page SEO.
Does AI Overview optimization work for local businesses and other industries?
Yes. Google’s AI ranks signals — clarity, structure, authority, corroboration — not industries, and those signals are engineered the same way in every category. We’ve done it in contractor marketing (our own site) and for a client in executive branding, a field with nothing in common with ours. And in most local markets, the AI-answer slot is still uncontested — whoever engineers for it first tends to own it.
How fast can a page start getting cited?
It varies, and AI Overviews re-score constantly — so we date every capture. In practice some of our own pages began surfacing within weeks of a rebuild, and a client’s page reached top-3 nationally for its head term almost immediately after a late-March launch and has held there since. Fast to appear is possible; proven to last is the goal.
How do I know your results are real?
Check them yourself. We publish the exact search terms and dated, incognito screenshots and invite you to open them in an incognito window and verify the live result. A proof you can puncture is the only kind worth putting in front of you.
What does being named by the AI actually get me?
Visibility is the start, not the scoreboard. Being named is what turns into calls, quotes, and booked jobs — and the booked job is the only thing we optimize to. Getting found is only the start; we get you chosen — now by the AI, too.
